Exactly. I get that all the time. I actually go to a car dealership to talk about car financing. They called me. Anyway the african american loan officer asks me "so are you a boer" in american accent. Took me a minute to get my brain around what he was asking and then "well that could be a bit of an offensive term but sure i guess"
